Location: Adkins Arboretum
Date: 5/30/2015
Time: 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Join us for a fun morning of seed sowing at the Arboretum’s Native Plant Nursery. Horticulturist Leslie Hunter Cario will share her expertise in propagating native plants from seed. We’ll learn about plant growth requirements, materials, and seeding technique. Please feel free to bring any seeds you may have cleaned at the fall seed collection workshop; a variety of other native plant species will be provided. Seeds sown will be shared by program participants for their own gardens and the Native Plant Nursery to supplement production. We’ll be working hands-on in the potting shed and greenhouse, so please dress for the weather, and bring a bagged lunch if you wish.
